Lindsay has been a singer all of her life, and has developed a unique vocal sound over the years. In 2006, she began playing the guitar, which has been a great asset to her writing, performing, and musicianship.
Lindsay started her composing career as primarily a singer-songwriter, heavily influenced by great pop and folk musicians such as John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, and Ray Lamontagne. And while writing pop music was a large part of Lindsay’s development as a young musician, her focus shifted to jazz halfway through her high school career. After being highly involved in her High School jazz program, Lindsay began to fall in love with the genre. She became obsessed with vocal improvisation and transcribing instrumental solos, and after listening to John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme”, there was no turning back.
Lindsay graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in vocal performance in December of 2013. She has studied with Becca Stevens, Peter Eldridge, Alison Wedding, Dena DeRose, Gretchen Parlato, Rebecca Martin, and many others. Her current style could be described as a mixture of pop, folk, and jazz, but her aim is to make music that everyone can enjoy and relate to.
