The Carried Away is an indie folk duo made up of Richard Korn’s warm vocals and folky guitar matched with Ally Brown’s colorful voice and delicate harmonies. Ally and Richard first began playing music together 3 years ago around a bon fire in Ally’s back yard in Tallahasse, FL. Not long after that they began playing every week together at Rail Road Square Art Park, in stairwells between classes, and most influentially at the legendary Warehouse Open Mic night hosted by the one and only Doc Russell. Today, although Ally now resides in Nashville, TN and Richard in Miami, FL the two continue to record and make music together thanks to the wonders of modern technology.
